The Team

The roles of sales and supply chain are critical to the success of Kia UK. The sales team generates revenue and acquires new and retains existing customers while the supply chain team ensures products and services are delivered efficiently. Sales and supply chain teams collide at various points in the supply chain process.

 

The Role - 6-12 month FTC

Working within the supply chain team, you are at the heart of the Kia UK operation to deliver on our success. From managing customer orders with factory, shipping of vehicles to the UK, vehicle preparation and delivery to our dealer network partners, the Supply Chain team interacts with many internal and external stakeholders. Key to the role is the handling of dealer network partner phone enquires, and other communication streams, relating to the management of vehicle orders, allocations, and supply.

 

Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Operation of the vessel manifests process to load new vehicles onto the SAP platform. This includes amendments to the arrival date and respective communication to stakeholders

  • Handling of Dealer calls and other communication streams relating to the management of vehicle orders, allocation and supply

  • Prepare excel reporting on request and provide initial analysis for review and onward actions

  • Pro-active management of back-orders via stock swaps and colour / specification changes 

  • Maintenance of minimum stockholding to ensure capability of achieving vehicle sales objectives

  • Liaison with relevant Regional Business Managers with regards to Dealer issues and stock situation

  • Operation of the vehicle allocation system, involving regular liaison with Kia Regional Business Managers and Finance House as to network allocations. This also includes control of vehicle movements relating to dealer appointments, vehicle stop, dealer terminations, and return of vehicles

  • Administration of vehicle invoicing, credit and re-invoicing processes

  • Assist in taking dealer calls for Used Cars

  • Assist with the processing and administration of Used Cars

  • Assist with the processing and administration of Company Cars (including Pool Cars)

  • Assist with the processing and administration of Fleet contract

 

About You

Education:

  • A good general education – 4 GCSE’s including English Language and Mathematics

 

Experience:

  • Administration experience preferred

 

Skills:

  • High level of understanding of Microsoft Excel

  • Good level of understanding of Microsoft applications and SAP (desirable)

  • Excellent telephone handling skills

  • High level of flexibility

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Self-starter, motivated, driven and with a desire to learn

Location/Travel

The Kia UK Head Office is based in Walton-on-Thames, just a 5 minute walk from the station. We also have plenty of on-site parking for drivers, including EV charging ports.
