The Role

Off the back of a record 2023 of sales, Kia UK is maintaining its strategy of sustainable retail sales growth with Marketing Programmes at the forefront of our campaigns and communications.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our winning team as we seek an enthusiastic and highly motivated Marketing Programmes Analyst. Working as part of the Marketing department, you will take responsibility for managing competitor analysis, reporting on campaign performance, and contributing towards our market-leading campaigns.

The ideal candidate will be curious about the automotive market, value process and improvements, and analytical with a good attention to detail teamed with great communication skills. They will be knowledgeable on offers and dealer-facing communications, using their commercial knowledge to build reporting and analysis to support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities/Tasks:

The Marketing Programmes Analyst will support the Marketing Programmes team in developing and delivering high-quality incentive programmes to promote Kia UK’s retail sales. The individual will be a hub of knowledge reviewing all insights on retail and finance performance, but also manage competitor analysis and the process of communicating offers via our quarterly Marketing Programmes Guides. This role provides a unique opportunity to work across multiple areas to improve sales performance of Kia UK while also generating a creative and informative publication which will be used across Kia UK’s entire dealer network.

 

Analyst

  • Create internal & external presentations showcasing key competitor analysis and offers.

  • Conduct and review analysis on key metrics and present them to internal stakeholders effectively. Examples include retail and campaign performance, finance penetration, and RV impacts.

  • Manage reporting to Kia HQ, Kia Europe, or Kia UK management as appropriate on incentive activities, on an ad-hoc or routine basis.

  • Build insight which allows Kia UK management to make decisions surrounding product launches.

  • Assist the Marketing Programmes Manager & Specialist with the presentation of quarterly campaigns to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Provide support to Regional Business Managers with matters surrounding quarterly programmes.

 

Creative

  • Responsible for the timely and accurate development and delivery of quarterly Marketing Programmes Guides in liaison with internal stakeholders and agencies, alongside the digital version of Kia UK’s communications.

  • Identify new opportunities to improve retail and retention campaigns, including but not limited to finance penetration levels.

  • Work closely with wider Marketing / Press & PR teams to support with the implementation & communication of quarterly programmes.

 

Other

  • Manage Kia’s Friends & Family scheme. Provide recommendations on pricing and produce analysis on the commercial and financial performance of the scheme.

  • Provide support and insight into retention performance, in liaison with Hyundai Capital UK, other external partners and their systems.

  • Administer some key dealer payments in relation to a range of different incentive activities through our Incentive Management.


About You

  • Educated to degree level or up to two years experience in the automotive sector

  • Two years’ work experience in an analytical / numerical role desirable

  • Experience of SAP and PowerPoint is desirable

  • Highly numerate and displaying strong attention to detail

  • Excellent knowledge and experience of Excel

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

  • Excellent-self starter with strong ability to work both within a team and under one’s own initiative

Location/Travel

The Kia UK Head Office is based in Walton-on-Thames, just a 5 minute walk from the station. We also have plenty of on-site parking for drivers, including EV charging ports.
